Now is the moment in our "See the Nation by Graduation" tour that you get to meet our rental car. We are cashing in John's Hertz points to obtain a rental car and paying no money for it. WIN (ish)! I reckon we should've read the small print, because you can't use points on a minivan or SUV. Siblings get cozy, because you are seeing this fine nation stuffed in the back of a Maxima! The front seat offers gracious leg room though! Snuggle up my pets, while mommy gets comfy! We got an early start with a visit to Fenway Park and then it was on to New Hampshire and Maine!

Mile 1104
Scarborough Maine: Well, once I heard that there was a life-sized sculpture of a moose made entirely from chocolate I knew I must go to there. Lenny the moose is just as spectacular as you would imagine. And, he's made entirely of CHOCOLATE! The folks at Len Libby Candies in Scarborough don't put on aires about Lenny (1700 pounds of pure chocolate!) . There wasn't even any mention of his chocolate bear friends that weigh in at a lot! We procured some jelly beans and caramels and hopped back in the Maxima.

Mile 1125
Yarmouth, ME
For such a small state, Maine has lots of larger than life displays! After our World's largest chocolate moose detour, we found our way to World's largest rotating globe! It is 3 stories high and magnificent. Now, it is in the lobby of this cartography company. But, they don't charge a thing to come in and explore. It is the world's largest world, which seems a bit redundant but, is incredible nonetheless.
Mile 1126- Yarmouth, ME
Big indian- There was this big indian. We thought it was rad. We had to stop.
Mile: 1131 Big boot- Er'e body got to go see the big boot in Freeport, ME at the L.L. Bean. But, on a more interesting note, the flagship L.L. Bean store is filled with animal trophies. One of which served at the inspiration for the chocolate moose! Full circle!
Mile: 1243- McLaughlin's Seafood roadside stand
I am craving Lobster rolls and I may need an intervention. I heard these were good. But, I haven't met a bad one yet. mmmmm. Lobster rolls.....
Mile hotel 1245-
5 people crammed in a hotel room. This year Thomas has upgraded from sharing a bed with sisters to roll-away. YAY! Now, it's even cozier.
