We’re BaaaacK….
Mile 0- We booked a late flight and I really like that. It gave me an entire day to get the house in
order and get out the door. I delivered the fish for two weeks of Camp Kinney (Thanks Scott and Tracey) Last time they
fish-sat, Scott set up an I-pad with live-stream ocean scenes beside their
porto-tank. Of course he did. But you know what going the extra mile gets ya? 8 more years of Mileophile fish-sitting!
On the way to the airport, the kids are beside themselves! Calm down, guys! |
Does the TSA have any stipulations against percolators in your purse? I'm asking for a friend.... |
Mile 28- Our next
adventure began when Mr. Bullington had a work conflict that afforded me the
opportunity to get myself, all three kids, and our mass quantities of luggage
(read: camping equipment) to the airport by myself. The plan was to meet Mr.
Bullington at the Park N Fly. He was further delayed and we decided the best plan was to meet him at the airport. So after loitering on the
sofas in the luxurious waiting area for about an hour, we left to meet him at the airport.
I was a
little skeezed out by Thomas wiping his pillow pet all over aforementioned Park
n Fly sofa, but I let it go. Little did I know that Skanky Pillow Pet would get a bath when Thomas dumped his entire dinner drink onto his lap and surrounding territory. The episode occured during a moment of noncompliance, so Mr. Bullington was not amused. It
was Strawberry Fanta and Coke mixed and it looked like the prom scene from Carrie. And, even though I asked for a kid
size, this particular establishment only offered beverages in the style of
Gully Washer. It was like, 64
ounces. Fortunately, He had a change of clothes in his backpack!
The scene of the crime. We caught the Perp. |
I never realized the absorbent
qualities of an infomercial darling that
functions both as a pillow AND a pet until I got to rinse it out in the airport
restroom. That sucker could really hold a lot of FantaCoke!
We were the last to
arrive to the gate and took our seats with our dripping Pet in tow.
Mile 1919- The flight was uneventful and we landed safely in SLC and settled into our hotel. I am trying to enjoy this comfy bed, because tomorrow night it will be replaced by the ground!
The annual spotting of the elusive Pajama Hat Bed Bouncer, Okay, he's not that elusive.. |
